1 : We start with the traditional question : Can you please introduce yourself to our readers ?:
Hello, my name is Quentin, i am 23 years old and i have been passionate about Lord of the Rings universe since my early childhood. In addition to being the founder of the store, i'm also a digital communications consultant and author
2 : Tell us about your project/activity ? And above all, explain to us why this theme ? Where did the idea come from ?
I had the idea of creating The Store Of The Ring while doing research to find replicas of jewelry from the saga. In fact, i realized that there was no 100% specialized store, in France at least, where other licenses already had dozens of stores (like Harry Potter for example). As a fan above all, i found it strange and above all unthinkable that one of the biggest cinematographic and literary sagas should be so little considered in the commercial sphere. So i set out with some savings and a lot of time to launch what will be and already is the first independent store 100% dedicated to the works of JRR Tolkien. The store has also received a very good reception, even if it takes time to take its place because i have to manage everything alone (website, orders, content on social networks, suppliers etc...). The big + of the store is that all the items are protected under license, but also that i added a “Crafts” category to highlight French creators who make objects and works of art linked to The Lord of the Rings
For the moment the project is taking shape, so it will take time before the store finds a place on the web. The goal for me is to reinvest all the money acquired on the store to continually add new references. Soon, Tolkien's books will be available and that will already be an excellent point. To see further, i hope that within 5 years the store will be the number 1 reference for licensed Lord of the Rings products in France and why not in Europe ( the final goal being to democratize the store at international in order to bring beautiful products and impeccable customer service to the world )
4: Regarding JRR Tolkien : what does he represent to you ? And how did you “jump” in this universe ?
My relationship with Tolkien's work began when i was a child, around 6 years old i would say, when i was given a Gameboy Advance game based on the film “The Return of the King”. At that time, i was still too young to appreciate the lore, but it was my first experience with this universe. Then, i had the DVDs in cinema version which I watched several times, like any good fan. Then, i was thrown straight into it with the Warhammer Lord of the Rings game and its different campaigns. After that, i had the chance to study the book “The Hobbit” at school, the same year that “An Unexpected Journey” was released in the cinema. However, i have only been a real enthusiast for 2 or 3 years i would say. It started with the discovery of long-form films, then books, until today where i study all aspects of the work. What did Tolkien really give me in all of this ? An unconditional love for literature, an insatiable desire to travel, a continuous amazement at a work dating back more than 60 years, and above all the happiness of being part of a caring and extremely enriching community
5: How do you see the franchise evolving ? Because for an activity like your's, it’s a great opportunity i think...
When i launched the store in March 2024, we only had two new releases planned for the Lord of the Rings universe: The Rings of Power Season 2 and the animated film War of the Rohirrim. This did little to revive public enthusiasm for the saga, however, about a month later, we learned that there would soon be a film on the hunt for Gollum as well as another project without further details. In my opinion, we are going to witness the "renaissance" of Tolkien's work through cinema, and it is simply fantastic. My goal was not necessarily to make a lot of money with this store, and that is still the case, but it is true that from a commercial point of view this is also only good news
The franchise has never been at a standstill but they found a great opportunity to relaunch it with new stories that weren't necessarily developed in the novels

In closing words, i would say that i am extremely proud to have had the idea of launching this store, despite many general derivative product sites already well established. I sincerely think that this project can turn into a great adventure, and i will not stop as long as there is interest in this great saga. So this is a store made by a fan, for the fans, with all the love and care possible
